A genetics and bioinformatics enthusiast joins the team

March 25, 2025

A research scientist with a passion for genetics and plant biology, specializing in molecular biology, plant pathology and bioinformatics, Maxime de Ronne chose to join the Aplantex team in order to contribute to the evolution of the current industrial model, dominated by petrochemical and synthetic processes, towards a smarter and more sustainable exploitation of natural resources. This transition offers more efficient processes, with better sanitary quality, a reduced environmental impact and sustainable prospects. Beyond technological advances, it is a real opportunity to reconnect society to the richness offered by nature, by understanding and valuing its potential without compromising it.

His expertise in genetics and bioinformatics is a valuable asset fueling our growth

“My main objective is to develop innovative techniques to improve crop resilience and promote the circular economy. My work is part of a vision of a sustainable future, where science and technology are at the service of our planet and society. Contributing, however modestly, to this scientific revolution makes me want to get up every morning with enthusiasm.

A valuable team player

“Having worked with Maxime on an ad hoc basis for two years now as part of a strategic collaboration with Université Laval, we can confirm that teamwork is essential for him, especially in an ambitious project like ours where the diversity of expertise and personalities is a real asset. He has been able to promote cohesion and synergy within the group, drawing on the strengths of each individual to ensure optimal progress. In this sense, he will be an invaluable member of our team,” says Patrick Charest, B.Sc., P. Eng., CEO.
