The recent World Agri-Tech 2024 event in San Francisco brought together 2,400 agri-food industry decision-makers including major food brands, producers, technology suppliers, and investors for two days of high-level networking, strategic business intelligence, and the discovery of innovative solutions by promising start-ups. Most of the interest revolved around the many challenges of the complex marriage between agriculture and sustainable development.
The links forged during Agri-Tech 2024 confirm the relevance of Aplantex’s strategic plan
Aplantex’s green biotechnology platform is closely aligned with the circular economy through local production significantly reducing supply chains, automation at each step of the process, loop reuse of multiple inputs, and use of renewable energy sources. Our platform thus offers a much «greener» alternative for the production of plant-based bioactive molecules when compared to agriculture, traditional biotechnology, and conventional chemical synthesis.
In the context of our anticipated medium-term penetration of the US market, our participation in this event allowed us to become familiar with several related issues of importance to senior management of major players in the agri-food industry. Most importantly, it has allowed us to connect with leading US and international investors whose investment strategy is in line with our growth plan. “My conversations with inspiring people from Mandi Ventures, Skull Diamond and Heart Capital, Touchdown Ventures, Lewis & Clark Agrifood, and FMC Corporation confirm our determination to exploit the full potential of our innovative green biotechnology platform. My drive for continuing discussions at the right time remains intact.” Patrick Charest, BSc, P.Eng., CEO.
