The Solar Impulse Foundation (SIF) was created in 2018 to accelerate the shift toward a clean and sustainable economy. A wide group of seasoned professionals, each with a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in one or more of the 5 sectors of activity covered, assesses and critiques solutions seeking the highly sought-after Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label – a globally recognized third-party accreditation awarded, to this day, to more than 1,600 solutions combining environmental benefits with economic viability. This trusted trademark guides investors, industrial decision-makers, and all levels of government in implementing impactful, profitable solutions to the growing challenges of climate change.
The Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label opens key doors.
Our innovative green biotechnology is in the process of being evaluated following the three basic SIF criteria:
- Technological feasibility: Is the underlying concept of the Solution technically and commercially viable?
- Environmental performance: Does the Solution provide a net positive environmental impact compared to the mainstream alternative across its lifecycle?
- Economic incentive for the client: Is the Solution cost-competitive compared to the mainstream alternative either today or in the medium term?
Although the last leg of the process is yet to be completed, we have already increased our visibility and credibility within the comprehensive Solar Impulse Foundation network and initiated meaningful communications with European investors. Patrick Charest, B. Sc., P.Eng., mMBA, CEO
