Antimicrobial properties, a priority for Aplantex

August 21, 2025

Leaders in the cosmetics, natural health, agri-food, and pharmaceutical industries spare no effort to ensure the integrity of their respective supply chains to offer efficient and safe products. Antimicrobial properties are among the key elements in the life cycle of many products. From their formulation to their final use by individuals, often among the most vulnerable of us. “Our modular green biotechnology platform allows us to continuously produce in a tightly controlled, safe environment a rich biomass from which the precious molecules sought for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and antimicrobial properties are derived, as applicable. The extracts of polyphenols and flavonoids, derived from our biomass among others, have proven their effectiveness in this regard,” emphasizes Mr. Mourad Sabri, PH.D., CSO.

Our team is committed to delivering safe, high-performing molecules, with antimicrobial properties remaining a top priority

An innovative platform and state-of-the-art infrastructure

Our innovative process is powered by our proprietary photosynthetic phytoreplicators. Their rapid reproduction in a controlled indoor environment, shielded from seasonal cycles and the growing threats of climate change and pollution, allows us to produce what would require an area equivalent to 40 American football fields on the surface of a bowling alley. Furthermore, our carbon-neutral closed-loop production process generates no waste and sparingly uses water, essential nutrients for plant growth, as well as renewable hydroelectric energy, enabling us to offer a wide range of molecules and extracts while significantly contributing to the circular economy and providing immediate ESG compliance for our clients.

“Our entire scientific, production, and quality control staff aims to play an essential role in providing the molecules and extracts that meet the highest safety and performance standards. And just like Symrise, a leader in the food and cosmetic industries, antimicrobial properties are among our priorities,” concluded Mr. Patrick Charest, B. Sc.,P. Eng., mMBA, CEO.
