June 8, 2023One of Aplantex’ technical partners, the Centre d’études des procédés chimiques du Québec (CEPROCQ) represented by Yacine Boumghar, Ph.D, has received a grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to support the continued development of Aplantex’ innovative process to produce valuable molecules commonly used by the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and agrifood industries.
This grant enables us to accelerate our drive to market.
This specific NSERC Applied Research and Development grant support research and development (R&D) projects led by college researchers in partnership with private, public or not-for-profit organizations while encouraging collaboration with universities and/or other colleges. This opportunity allows the development and strengthening of research links and collaborations between different institutions and/or partners that have a common goal of creating economic, social and/or environmental benefits while contributing to the research ecosystem continuum.
The mission of the CEPROCQ is to foster the expansion and competitiveness of SMEs working in the fields of green chemical processes, biobased economy, and sustainable development. Through the expertise of its researchers and pilot-scale facilities, it currently provides Aplantex with extraction and purification services during the installation of Aplantex’ full-scale equipment in the Boucherville plant.
The NSERC grant is an additional boost to help Aplantex accelerate its drive to market.
